Custom Upholstery

  • STEP 1: FABRIC! This is where the fun begins. Come in and browse our in-house samples or schedule a complimentary hour to meet with me to explore fabric/design options for your piece. From here, we will order a selection of swatches from your favorite fabrics.

  • STEP 2: Once your swatches have arrived, you will have them on loan for 1 week - This gives you a chance to check them out in your space and choose your final fabric selection.

  • STEP 3: Once you have decided on your fabric, you will be asked to return all memos and pay a fabric deposit.  Depending on the piece, we may also ask you to drop it off at Thistledown Nest for accurate measurements for yardage.

  • STEP 4: Once we have your fabric deposit, your fabric order will be placed. (Fabric orders typically take 7 - 10 business days to arrive). You will be notified if any selected fabrics are on back-order.

  • STEP 5: When your fabric is in, we will contact you to schedule a drop-off of your piece.

  • STEP 6: Once we have your furniture piece(s) and fabric, our 3-6 week turnaround for upholstery begins! You will be notified if we are experiencing any changes to this expected turnaround.

  • STEP 7: When your piece is complete, we will email you to schedule a pick up time within 7 days. Final balance will be due upon pick up. (Note: we are limited on space, therefore if pieces are not picked up within 7 days, $10 / day will be charged.

Decorative Painting

Decorative painting can take a piece of furniture, blank wall or architectural element and turn it into a work of art. We love to use traditional techniques in contemporary applications, old world craftsmanship, new world style. The showroom and studio are full of samples of our extensive decorative experience and inspiration.

Repaint or Refinish

Heirloom and lived-in furniture is a part of your story and a new finish can give worn furniture a new life. A sheen adjustment could update a dated piece or, if you love the beautiful wooden pieces in your life but want a lighter, brighter look, consider painting. Custom color mixing and matching available.
